Greek Tsoureki Bread
Greek Tsoureki Bread
A real treat – this is a traditional Easter bread, usually served to break the Lenten fast. It’s a sweet egg bread that will remind folks of a brioche. The unique spice is mahlab – which tastes like cardamom. The red “egg” on top is symbolic of rebirth.
This delightful sweet bread can be served with whipped butter, graviera (greek cheese) and a tall glass of cold milk… heaven!
