Corporate Cake for My BNI Group
My BNI Chapter won Chapter of the Year and SEVEN other awards recently! It was with sincere pride that I can say, I am the Jacksonville Baker in the Profit Builders Chapter – Northeast Florida’s BNI Chapter of the Year! Wahoo!
Everything was edible on this cake: the logos, the gold, the ribbon trim, all of it. It was several layers of french vanilla and chocolate cake. The frostings were vanilla buttercream and chocolate ganache. The topper was a separate, smaller one layer cake designed to fit the image of the award, which was printed onto edible paper. The colors were matched to the award itself and that of the corporate logo.
It was such fun matching the colors, and the designing the cake to commemorate the award appropriately. The members have all become very dear to me over these past few months. I wanted something joyful and massive, as this was a huge award for us. Incorporating a logo onto a cake is a relatively new process for me, too, (it all used to have to be done by hand, and often didn’t come out so perfect, if you know what I mean?! ) so that the end result was so grand was very rewarding, too.
“WOW, this is amazing! It’s so succulent!” my British friend!
“The perfect ratio of frosting to cake!”; “this is soooo extravagant!”; “So delicious, and Jackie, that chocolate is just DECADENT!!!!”
“Can I take some home to my kids?”
All good fun ~ it was a very happy celebration.
